Identification

•Nymph :

-Shiny green, have a broad, black band extending from the base of eyes to the wing pads.

-Leg are greenish-yellow, full-grown nymph 15-25 mm length.

•Adult :

-Similar in body in colour the nymph

-But larger 25-30 mm, green wings.

•Serious infestation, the peat completely defoliated & the crops.

Management

•Dust the crop with lindane with 2% @ 30 kg/ha.

•Adult : -Stoutly built, size 20 x 8 mm, with a rough brownish apperance. •Nymph :

– Similar in body form but are smaller & have wing pads instead of wings.
