•Larvae :
– full-grown 25-30 mm length, reddish brown, with black blotches all over the body
•Adult
– Moths are orange yellow with black spot

•Capsule with bore holes
•Damaged capsules webbed together
•Peduncle and capsules showing galleries made of silk and frass
Management
•Spray any one of the following insecticides, thrice from flowering at three weeks interval
– Malathion 50 EC 2.0 l/ha
– Carbaryl 50 WP 2.0 kg/ha in 1000 l of water
